I am a 25-year-old woman and I love men and I love Valentine’s Day. Here is my advice for you. Get 1 thing that is a traditional romantic gift, and get 1 thing that says something about your girlfriend’s personality. Or, even better, combine the two. For example, if she loves whales, you could get her candy that’s shaped like whales. Get her an experience. A concert, play, spa day, outdoors activity. Flowers die, candy gets eaten, and most gifts for meaningless holidays get forgotten and thrown away or donated. The memories from an experience last forever. I am the more masculine one in the relationship and she does tend to treat me more like a man, where she doesn’t give me much reassurance, no valentine’s day gift, makes me come see her, etc. I know I could just tell her how I feel but I feel like I’ve been explaining a lot of things that make me upset lately and i’m just scared to add on. Each girl is different, though, and, although some girls would love a make-up gift card, that would be a shit gift for me since I hate make-up.
