Soldiers’ Angels Valentines for Veterans is a great way to give back in the spirit of Valentine’s Day. This volunteer opportunity is virtual, easy, and a great activity for children or groups. How to Volunteer with Valentines for Veterans. Volunteering for Valentines for Veterans is easy. I wish that we did not have to limit volunteer opportunities but I would like to include as many people as possible. We are also actively fundraising for 2025. At this point we are at about 14% of our local goal of $100,000. $100,000 is the amount that we need to raise to serve 1500 North Carolina widows and widowers. All you need to do is include $1 per Valentine you send! This will help us cover the cost of packing & mailing boxes of Valentine’s Day cards to deployed troops overseas and VA Hospitals! Our nationwide initiative mobilizes 25,000 volunteers of all ages to deliver roses and create cards.
