Stay far away from 1-800-flowers. I used to work at a funeral home (lol) so I've seen A LOT of flower deliveries and 1-800-flowers always sucked. Always late, shitty flowers, etc. Roots of Love in Spotswood is fantastic and my go-to. It's not that far from New Brunswick. The 12th is a fine day for pickup. Some if not most people will want theirs delivered/picked up on the 14th itself. The idea is that the person gets to open up one note every day for the next year with a message of some sort from you, usually things like your favorite memories with them, reasons you love/appreciate them. Because if memory serves correct, costco hasn't had the best luck the last few years with valentines day deliveries.
