The Valentine's day chocolates carry over. I'm not sure if they are all different, but the two that I've seen are just SP restorative items. I do know that if you romance more than 1 girl, you don't receive one and you get a pity chocolate from Sojiro. The max rank confidant items are what you are referencing at the end.
