I think I had 1 kill left and I had been playing for about 2hrs and hadn’t got the kill, so I just said screw it and just played normally to have fun. 15 minutes later random anti tank grenade into a windmill and bam got a kill. The bayonet does slow down your sprint recovery, but in practice it is imperceptible. Using the MP 18 as an example, the default sprint recovery is 0.0665 seconds or 2 frames at 30Hz. Equipping the bayonet changes this to 0.1665 or 5 frames at 30Hz. The baseline recovery time is 0.25 seconds, but most weapons have an inherent modifier to this.
